I'm Jess,
a 3 year old English Springer Spaniel living in Southport, England. This
website was my idea, so if you would like to get your picture on this
website then please
owner. (PS. I don't mind some of you cats getting in on the act - in
fact, I've even got him to set up a separate gallery for you! But don't
come walking through MY garden....) |

| Hi, my name is Sunny, I'm nearly 14 and I'm a
Westie from St.Helens in Lancashire, England (not too far from Jess
actually!). Two years ago I became very thirsty and was diagnosed as
diabetic. So now I have to give a urine sample every morning, but at
least I get a short walk out of it! And after a quick test, I have my
insulin injection, but only when I'm ready and
where I want it.
|
 |
| It's not too bad really. I've got used to
it. In fact I'm now not as irritable as I used to be a few years ago.
Yes I have to have special dog food, and at particular times, but I'm
allowed certain treats now and again.
It has changed my life (and my humans!) but we've managed it
together. So I hope other humans aren't too worried if any of my
friends are found to be diabetic. If you want more information, please
get in touch through the forum.

My name is Tessa. I used to live with my owners in Brighouse,
West Yorkshire, UK until I passed away a few years ago. My humans did
have their faults but I got regular walks and meals and the
accommodation was reasonably comfortable. I could have done with an
extra cushion in my box but you can't have everything.
|
| I'm told by the
great Jack Russell in the sky that they were upset when I went, so I've
decided to re-appear in cyberspace so they can enjoy my Internet
presence. It's unfortunate - and unfair - that the humans live a lot
longer than we do, so all you animals out there should do this now
before it's too late - get your humans to send in pictures and
recordings of you so that a part of you will always be here for
them - and anyhow I need a bit of spiritual company! |
